Running power can be somewhere between free and...well I suppose there's no end to the high side depending on what you're doing.
They wanted 30k to run power to us so we opted to go off grid. If you're looking in the Ozarks, most places now require you have a house or a well already there. Some have minimum foundation square footage. Best thing to do would be to have the power company go take a look. Breaking out on raw land isn't for the faint of heart. There are about a million unknowns and you just need to roll with the punches and keep moving forward. Easiest way to have power is if it is already on the property or you pick a place within 1 pole of power lines. What is 1 pole? It varies by power company. lol. Generally speaking if you're within a couple hundred feet, you should be okay. Could be that you could triple that number. If you want to move out this way, become good with ambiguity. There aren't many answers. Only problems to figure out. LOL
