Many of you utter similar statements, having experienced the same profound disconnect. The phenomenon of Lindsay Clancy fangirls is just one more of myriad recent examples.

The horrifying upshot of this alienness means we share so little in common as to be on the brink of a total breakdown in communications and within society itself."

I keep seeing so much anti-realistic thought that this article neatly summarizes. I thought some others here might enjoy it as well.

Great food for thought. My main question would be if anti-realism is the core operating program, or if it’s the means to an end of an even deeper or more central belief or set of beliefs. Leftists have long believed that there was already in place what they perhaps might view as an anti-realist system that told lies about women, about gay people, black people, etc. After all, we all should be equal. And yet, those pesky differences that won’t go away. So they think the problem goes to social programming. Little girls only like dolls because the patriarchy told them to. It’s the patriarchy that’s anti-realist, and it’s going to take a lot of de-programming to finally make everyone see.

They think, I believe, that their beautiful reality is there underneath, it just needs to be burnished and brought to light. I do think this can be traced back to the collapse in the belief in God. Their dream of equality is what rushed in to fill the vacuum of the equality conferred by a God that gave each of us a bit of His divine spirit, and who also subjects us to an unbiased judgment. It is a perverted and soulless Christianity they are acting out unknowingly. If the reality of the sexes needs to be thrown out to get us to the New Jerusalem, so be it.

I look forward to reading the article, but I’m just going to throw this out there.

In some forms of Christianity there is a concept of “Name it and claim it”. They use a way of believing called “Manifesting” where they believe in an outcome and expect it to come to fruition in the manner in which they have believed.
Imo, liberalism is a religion. They just don’t recognize any gods.
They declare what they want the truth to be and fully expect the universe to line up with what they believe, because they wouldn’t believe it if it wasn’t true. They are actually “manifesting” reality. Logic doesn’t work with them because it doesn’t match what they feel. This is why the feeling-based gender is typically at the forefront.

We are seeing this play out in several national news stories and it is very tribal.

Telling a trans person they can never overcome the genetics coded into each and every cell of their body is therefore not gifting them with truth, but tearing down their fantasy. You’re not just challenging their assumptions, you’re denying them their godhood over the fantasy that they’ve created about their life."

One increasing struggle we have had with those around us is well summed up in this statement. This separation caused by this struggle has left our family increasingly more isolated, but also more at peace and satisfied.

Several years back I became aware that my father has been a victim of mental and emotional abuse for over two decades. Through attempting to confront this problem and bring some clarity to his life, I became aware of a state called "shared fantasies."

Their outward appearance to the public is that he is a hapless, confused man and that she deserves better. She is the victim, you see. I myself always wondered why she would have settled for him.

The reality is that she is abusing him. She abused both her own children. She destroyed the households of several men. She's been divorced multiple times. Her mask dropped. I saw her treating him as a child, screaming at him and acting like he was a ten year old and she was the angry mother. And I watched him become a child, whimpering, apologizing for nothing at all. Apologizing because she was mad at him.

She has been threatening to divorce him over 22 years, since their wedding. It is a secret.

They share a fantasy which is not based in reality. She votes Republican but is really very far Left. She abused and queered her son. She taught her daughter to be a savage feminist, finding a capable man with a drinking problem she can manipulate and dominate.

For some time I was a part of their shared fantasy. I was not aware of what was happening beneath the surface, I accepted their public narrative. My siblings and his siblings accept the shared fantasy. Now I am a villain. My father does not tell people what he wants to tell them. He tells them what his wife tells him to tell people. She is crafting a narrative.

This is The Unreality. I view it and describe it as a form of witchcraft.

Now I've listened to four years of Dr. Ramani, Kris Reece, Rebecca Sung, and Richard Grannon. More than them, but people like them.

Suddenly there is a clarity we (the family I am building) have about the relationships in our life. We can sense and uncover manipulations at a higher level than before. We have awareness about narcissism and a natural resistance to it.

Many very bad business relationships have thankfully disappeared. Good and healthy relationships have strengthened. It is very positive.

I haven't finished the article all the way but it's very acutely aware of this social epidemic.

I like your term "shared fantasies".

I also appreciate that you see the topic in a broader sense that, to be honest, I did not. I was limiting my perception to the leftist and trans issue and you saw it as a greater societal phenomenon and you're right.

Thanks for posting the link, Megan. I think that anti-realism is the fulfilling of what is written in Romans 1:28ff. We are told, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, ...etc.

God giving these people over to a debased mind explains the loss of cognitive ability, hence anti-realism. We are seeing the outworking of the Leftist being abandoned by God to fulfil their desires. While being sad, it's exactly as He said, so all their own fault.
