Greetings & Blessings Sisters in Christ,
Just popping in to say Hello, how do ya do and whats new with everyone? Not allot of chatting going on these days here. But I do know that the end of the school year, weather our kiddos are home schooled or in the public/private school systems, that it is a busy season for families. So anywho! Not sure if you've been following the topic on the forums here regarding the subject of the Titus 2 study or not. However, Edward the Elder, Beta, Fairlight and others had shared some great Godly insights on the matter. Very good and thought provoking shared thoughts to say the least. I know that Yashua has been dealing with me on the very issues discussed/taught in Titus 2 for some time. As I've shared many times before, neither my dh nor myself were raised in Godly/Christian homes. And although my dh and I have been together for 17yrs now, just over the past 2 and a half yrs now I've been led of God to study and apply biblical balanced submission & obedience unto my dh. So thankful to finally have found these truths to be so life changing and such a blessing in our marriage! I truly enjoy serving and blessing my dh and family, and continue to seek Yashuas help and guidence in this area.
I just love getting my hands on as many biblical/encouraging studies on submission that I can find. As I also enjoy finding new ways to submit to, serve, love on and bless my dh more with each passing day! Am I perfect at this calling, No Way, nor will I ever be! Do I make mistakes and lash out or rebel against my dh's authority? You bet I do, as I'm (we're all) simple sinful fallen humans! Since applying this study of biblical balanced submission, which most churches gloss over or don't even address in their women's bible studies or sermons, our marriage has been blessed with new found love & joy. And with that comes a new found sense of humility & the ability to confess and repent both to Yashua and my dh for any disobedience on my part. And just as we are faithful to confess and repent, our great/loving father is faithful & just to forgive us of our sins. Continuing on the path that He alone has placed us on.
Soooooo, with all of that being said I was thinking it may be a good idea/blessing if we could start up a study of our own on B.F. regarding the lost biblical art of the teachings of Titus 2. I had also put this idea out in the open forums as well. Possibly the study could be opened to both the Brothers & Sisters in Christ here. Not that we women would be in any teaching authority over the men here. Just that we all could share our spiritual journies, and any biblical training we may have received in our growing up years in our homes.
Edward the Elder and Beta brought up some very good/important thoughts regarding this topic. We discussed how our main stream/PC , liberal churches in America have watered down the gospel. Which includes the watering down of the biblical truths of men & womens roles in their marriages, church and community as a whole. Allot of false teaching and half truths have sadly been taught to the masses from the pulpits. And sadly these false teachings have even been taught & encouraged in our women's bible studies/groups as well. I myself was one who was sadly deceived from these false teachings for many years, as I joined every ministry under the sun. Mind you as I was serving in all of these ministries, I was failing to serve in the most important ministry, my dh and family! :? It's a shame that our churches are even joining in the false/deceptive propaganda: "I am Woman Hear me Roar, I can have it all at home & in the church!" Let alone the false teaching that goes against biblical teaching that scripture itself commands all women of faith "to be Keepers at home, submissive and obedient to our own husbands in all things." Understanding mind you, that there may be seasons where both have a financial need to be working outside of the home. But while "having it all," allot of families haven fallen to the sinful wayside and have fallen apart. God did not design women to have it all! He has a beautiful, special & important call on our lives, as women of the faith & sisters in Christ. He lovingly has placed us under His wings, and under our dh's protective spiritual and authoritative covering, as our hoh. We have important callings on the mission fields of family ladies! I feel more loved, cared for, encouraged and even more empowered in my own home! Not by being out in the cold evil world, trying to keep up with or be better then men at anything. I'm joyfully seeking Yashuas will for my life, not the world's version of it!
Well enough of my soap box rant - LOL! Please know before anyone takes my post the wrong way or gets their feathers ruffled, that I'm in no way "pointing any fingers, judging or lecturing anyone here." Nor am I claiming that I'm perfect or have arrived. Anyone who really feels that they've arrived, usually has the furthest to go! Just joining in on pointing out some facts that others here already have. I'm not promoting legalism, nor am I promoting a "luke warm walk of faith." Just trying to point to the scriptures themselves, plain & simple. Nothing more, nothing less. So who would be interested in a study or discussion that could help and be a blessing to families? Especially pm families. Weather mono or pm, having a strong biblical foundation known and applied regarding the biblical roles of men & women in the faith, is important to keep families together & grounded in Christ. Titus 2 could be part of a foundation to learn and build upon. Thanks for listening and considering. As time permits, I'm looking forward to hearing back from some of you lovely Sisters in Christ. God be with thee, guide, protect & Bless thee!
