I'm new

Hello Everyone. I am recently new to listing myself, although I have been reading and listening to the blog radio for sometime now. The reason that I am getting more involved is due to the men here at BF and your level of maturity in the Word. I have found that it's one thing to say I'm a Christian. It's quit another to be a true disciple of our Lord and follow Him and His Kingdom culture. And after reading some of the conversations, I see that there are many disciples here.

The Lord began to deal with me about polygamy about two and a half years ago when reading what God said to David about the whole Uriah/Bathsheba incident. God said that all David had to do was ask and He would have given him double the amount of wives, if he wanted more women... not just one woman and that of another man's. This showed me God is always abundant and that He richly desires to fill all our pleasures so much more than I had been taught.
Since then, I have done much study and my wife (Fine Jade) has even come up with many different verses to show me which were very exciting. So now we have asked the Lord for a sister wife that will make a great fit for both me and a good friend to my wife. Knowing the truth about this subject has been a big blessing and so have your conversations.

Sincerely,
Bowbe4him

Welcome to the forum, Bowbe!

I think that you are already doing the best thing possible, surrounding yourselves with support and wisdom. The other great thing is that you are already praying for "her", and for God to provide her. I can tell you from personal experience that if you pray and ask God to provide the perfect one for you, then He will give you something better than you could ever imagine, including a great friend for your wife as well.

I look forward to hearing from you both on the forum.

Paul

Hi!
I think that it is so wonderful that you have the desire to seek His wisdom and providence regarding another wife. Paul (above) and I have prayed for a long time for God to provide whom He chooses and protect her in the meantime. We did not seek a sisterwife, but waited on Him, and we were perfectly happy being perfectly happy with each other until that day she would come into our lives. My husband is still in the courting process with a wonderful woman, but I have already thanked him for my new friend.

I look forward to meeting you and your lovely wife at a retreat, and I hope you continue to find the fellowship that you seek here.

Paul,
Thanks for the encouragement. I am happy to hear (via DeeAnn) that you are courting a wonderful woman for you and a new friend for DeeAnn. Yes, I do believe that she is already on her way and it will be a great match for myself and my sweet wife. And in the interim we continue to press in to know the Lord more and more.
It was nice to hear from both of you. It will be nice to meet you both sometime in a retreat.

I think what my husband was saying here is that "Yes, the woman that the Lord has for him is on her way and will be a great match for him and me." Okay, just wanted to clarify! Thank you all for a warm welcome. I know that many of you have already welcomed me in the Ladies forum and welcomed my husband by direct conversations, so we appreciate every loving and warm welcome! We are so happy and glad that the Lord led us here. It is certainly a warm and loving bunch!

Thanks, Fine Jade! I understood what he was saying, but it's always nice to clarify! We have never, not even one day, looked for someone. We just prayed for her to be prepared for us and vice versa.

Paul & I also hope to meet both of you at a retreat. I so look forward to it.

Yes, totally agree. God is the one who brings divine appointments. It is pretty exciting to see how God brings things about in the things we pray for. So happy for you and Paul! What exciting times! :D

Hello there hope all is well. Great group of people all different walks of life here! :D
