Intro & seeking fellowship in Charlotte NC area

Hello, My name is David. I am 43 years old and live in South Carolina just south of Charlotte NC. I was raised in the Baptist church and now I am more nondenominational following the ways of the Lord. I have been a believer in Christian Polygyny since I was in my mid 20’s but was always afraid to speak my heart about it to anyone else. Last November my wife came to me and actually suggested having another woman come into our lives. I was really taken by her suggestion as I didn’t think it was in her interest at all. We had never talked about it before so I began to pray to find the will of the Lord in our lives about this for us. Unfortunately what I was receiving from the Lord about her and I was not a positive one. God looks upon our hearts and He obviously saw something that was not healthy in her will towards the marriage that she and I had. Sadly after 9 years of marriage together she attacked our little boy and when I stepped in to protect him, she attacked me and now we are in the process of a divorce. I have custody of my two little boys now and they have been so awesome through all of this!

I believe that it is Our Heavenly Fathers will to be married again. So, ladies, I am open for friendships. Just thought I’d get the word out there.

I am looking for fellowship with like minded believers in the polygynous lifestyle in the Charlotte NC area. It can be men, women, families with one or two wives. It doesn’t matter. We are all a part of a huge family after all. I am seeking friendships with people that Love God and love others unconditionally as I do.

I have been a pastoral care counselor for the past 6 years and I specialize in relationships, intimacy and marriage counseling. Recently after expressing my views and taking a stand on plural marriages with church leadership without changing my mind I was asked to leave the church. I am in prayer about the next season of my life with my boys. I am in transition and all I can do in Joy is lift up mine eyes and raise my voice in praise to Him who sits on the throne! While saddened by the loss of my marriage with my first wife that was beyond my own abilities I am overwhelmed with joy at the possibilities to know the Lord even more! We are always growing in wisdom and stature as Jesus did.

I am also looking forward to upcoming retreats to meet more like hearted families.

Welcome, David and sons. There are several of us not too terribly far away from you. My wife and I are just over the line into GA, and there are some kinda between.

Your story, including the loss of your wife, is sadly familiar. But take heart! The experience you are likely to have with your Redeemer as you follow Him heedless of opposition is likely to be pretty amazing!

It's a pleasure to meet you. I have joined that group and received your file - Initial Questionaire that I have not responded to yet in full. I have about half of it responded to but not all of it. Raising two boys and trying to find work takes up so much time. I did receive an email from a moderator that stated I was accepted however I have not been able to do anything in the group. I do look forward to it.

Do you mean she physically attacked him? :cry:

Did you marry a second woman before this happened? Or did you never marry a second woman and then she started the divorce thing?
