Haha no actually that's not your question for the day - that's my question today lol. After I post this, that is what I'll be working on. Here's the real question -

I do really enjoy boardgames! We have a good selection of them and I pretty much like them all. This is one of my favorites:

The plot behind it is that you are a traveler going through Japan and the goal of the game is to see who can have the most interesting day. Who found the best items at the market, enjoyed the best food, took in the most beautiful views, etc. It's really fun and calming because the game is pretty chill. It also has good memories for me because I got it as part of a 'family present' for Christmas for our house and also bought some 'Dagashi' to go with it. Dagashi is basically Japanese junk food. So there were fish jerky, sour cherries, sugar crystals, and much more. It was a really good day. :)

I do like board games but my husband not so much, therefore we don't play much. I like battleship (as lame as that sounds) and blockus. We also have Life and Monopoly that the kids play but those games take a long time especially with small kids.
I dont think it counts as a board game but I also like scattegories.

I can't remember the last time I played a board game with a real board. I had been playing words with friends online with someone. Where does Bingo fall? I do that once a month to raise money for the mentally challenged adults that my daughter works with.

Then there's Bunco, LCR and the all time family favorite...Rummicub. Can we pretend there's a board under those games!?

Love board games!!! Ticket to ride, 21 express, even Stevens odd, clue and monopoly are our most played here.

And as for dinner. . . Cranberry turkey cream cheese sandwiches with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sprouts, with veggies and hummus on the side. Add a tall glass of tea or fresh prickly pear lemonade and you have a refreshing summer dinner!

That sounds yummy Littles! I do pita bread with cream cheese, cucumbers, garlic and some dill. My family likes hummus, but I'm not a big fan.

I have chicken out...just don't feel like cooking though. We lost our beloved collie, Serena, this morning and we are hurting so much. She was 12.

You should make macaroni cheese for tea tonight. I say that because that's what we had last night, and it's the only thing I can think of as it's 7.30am and I'm barely awake lol.

We quite like board games in this house too. My 5 year old's favourite is chess and he will play it for hours and hours, he never gets bored of it lol.
I really like Settlers. I got it from a second hand shop for 50c and it when we opened the box we found it was brand new! It's normally $80 new. We often play it when I'm in the early stages of labour, and we keep going until I'm far enough along that I either can't focus or I just don't care anymore.

We lost our beloved collie, Serena, this morning and we are hurting so much. She was 12.
Oh I'm sorry :(.

We love a good pita with veggies!!

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is so hard when they pass. They are part of the family. Prayers.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. They are such a part of our lives...the world is not the same without them.:(

On a less reverent note my family LOVES hummus....but pronounces it humm-ass because of the digestive affects experienced when eating a lot of it. It's good they work in the open air!
Now that we have veggies coming off I should make a batch!

My husband doesn't really like them either. We have a copy of LOTR Monopoly (we usually reserve this for power outages lol) and Battleship but not Life. I should get it, I really liked it when I was a kid. :)

I'm not sure what Blockus is and I don't think I've ever played Scattegories. :)

Oh snap! That does sound delicious! I ended up prepping crispy roasted red potatoes and chicken fillets coated in sour cream and then dipped in a mixture of crushed Cornflakes, grated Parmesan cheese and dry Ranch mix. :)

Ooo nice find on the game! I actually don't know how to play chess lol.

Thank you for the suggestion! I've been thinking of making Mac and cheese soon and may have gone with it if I had seen it before I already prepped dinner. :)

You're making me HUNGRY! That would be an all-in-one meal---yum!

I really enjoy any sort of word games--Boggle, Scrabble, Banana Gram, and then there Suduko, word searches, crosswords. I also enjoy a good game of Checkers, and then the version called Giveaway. I'm still trying to master Chess. The only time I take time to play board games is when the kids all get together and there's a group of us at the table with the house full of a whole bunch of others doing a whole bunch of other stuff.

Bunco and LCR are both dice games. Played in large groups it's a lot of fun. I can't really explain bunco, you have 3 dice that you roll and try to get 3 of whatever number the group is trying for. When you do that's called a bunco. Points are kept and when the round is up, 2 people from each table rotate to the next table. LCR again is a five game with an L. C. R. and a for on the dice. Each person has 3 chips of their own, rolls dice, if an R shows up you pass a chip the person on the right, L..chip goes to the left, C chip goes on the center of the table and a dot..you get to keep you chip. Whoever has the last chip wins the center pot. Except we played with 3 one dollar bills! With 12 ladies playing she won $36! It was a blast.

Rumicube is a tile game and uses strategy and luck!

I'm sorry you lost your baby, that's tuff. How are you feeling now? You doing any better?

I enjoy playing games with my kids as far as board games it would be Life or Monopoly. We play a lot of card games. Apple's to Apple's, cards against humanity, phase 10, spoons.

My kids love spoons...and my favorite card games are Nurts and Gin.
I've played Nurts more ways then most folks have heard of. When we'd get bored we'd play it musical. When someone would play an ace of hearts everyone would put their own deck down and rotate to the next person's hand. Or we'd play backwards aces like kings n kings like aces. Or any red on red and any black on black. You get the idea! Lol
