Hi,
I am Cass wife to Redwingsfan (he is a big Hockey fan LOL) we are just starting our journey and have found this site to be such a blessing.

A few years ago my husband and I were laying in bed chatting and I happened to mention how I thought the women of the Bible to be so lucky. We have three children and keeping up with them and the housework was daunting and exhausting. At that point I hadn't had many female friends since I left High School and those that I did have my husband did not care for and really they were not good influences. I happened to mention how I didn't understand why and or where in the Bible it tells us to have momoagamous relationships. So the discussion began and here we are. I hope I am making sense.

I tend to have a different outlook than most women I have met. I see the prospect of my husband taking another wife to be very exciting. Thinking of my husband loving another woman as he loves me fills my heart with Joy I find myself wishing all of my friends had a husband such as mine for he is a true Gem. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here as we move forward on this incredible journey.

May the Love and Peace of our Lord be with you,

Cass

Welcome to you both. We look forward to getting acquainted.

Wanna speed up the process and meet lots of fun folks? Y'all come on out to the summer retreat in a coupla weeks. *grin*

Thanx Cecil :) I would love to go to a retreat but we are in Idaho so we are prayerfully considering the October Sacramento Retreat :)

Hey guys,

Welcome to the forums! RedWings has already provided a lot of great input, and we hope that you will be generous with your thoughts and insights as well.

I wanted to remind you that we have some other ways to connect as well. We are on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and BlogTalkRadio. All of these can be accessed by direct link from our home page at http://www.biblicalfamilies.org .

The retreats are an awesome time, but I realize the distance issue. There are a number of families developing out in the western US, and we are looking forward to some exciting future retreats in that part of the country as well.

Please understand: you are not alone. We have discussed so many issues on the forums, I seriously doubt if there isn't an issue that we haven't already touched on! Please get actively involved in our forums, and more than that, ask the question, "How can I help?"

Now, even though we discuss the idea of Biblical marriage on this site and the forums, our true focus is to see the Son of God lifted up (John 12:32), so that HE will draw all men to HIM.

Let us lift up the Savior in EVERYTHING that we do, including Biblical marriage!

Koinonia and Maranatha,

Doc Burkhart

Hello Cass,

I think we have a lot in commom with our husbands liking hockey. My husband has one whole room decorated with hockey stuff. He even has an original six decorated bathroom. I'm assuming your husband, like mine, is a Redwing fan due to his screen name? Each year my husband seems to be turning me into a hockey fan. It's about the only sport I like watching, because it's fast paced and includes a little boxing in between playing from time to time.

This site is very informative and friendly. Blessings on your journey of Biblical marriage.

HI Michelle,
I think you just made my Hubby jealous. He is still trying to convince me to decorate our bedroom like the Joe Louis arena. Ummmm no. hahaha At times I like to watch games with him but I tend to get a bit loud yelling at refs and stuff so usually I sew or knit while he watches. Keeps me outta trouble.

Peace and blessings,
Cass
