Scarecrow

Hello everyone...it is nice to see a forum like this available to those with a Biblical understanding of marriage and family...and I guess to those who don't but are interested to learn.
I thought I would take a minute to let you know why I use the name Scarecrow. I have inquired of individuals from time to time what they think of the scarecrow and some have a negative image of a scarecrow perhaps because they have been used in some movies as something scary, some think of the Wizard of Oz (which was a parody about the decision to go off the gold standard - yellow brick road, oz is an abbreviation for ounce...etc...). To me the scarecrow is a reminder of what my Lord and my God Yeshua Messiah has done for me. You will find the scarecrow hanging on a tree arms spread wide. You will notice his condition to be tattered and torn. You will notice he is alone. You see him dutifully performing his task without complaint. You will notice he protects the harvest. You will see he scares away the birds, which in the scriptures usually represent evil. The scarecrow reminds me of what has been done for me; I know Yeshua is not yet hanging on the tree; He is risen, He is glorified with the Father.
I wear an empty cross around my neck which I drilled some of the gold out and placed a mustard seed in the center. The purpose of this is to remind me to have faith in my risen savior.
No I do not consider the scarecrow a graven image, nor do I worship the scarecrow. When I think of the scarecrow I am simply reminded of what has been done to cleanse me from my sin and save me from eternal separation from the Father.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
