I didnt know that. How did Christianity contribute to the fall
Not certain. It could become Christian Empire like Byzantines. Rome fell due to excessive taxation and bureaucracy, invansion of nation, lost inability to assimilate newcomers and similar. The Roman Empire centered on Eternal Rome, pagan worship, and the deification of their emperors.
Christianity puts God and Jesus ahead of all of that.
Once Christianity took over the Roman Empire it was only a matter of time before the Empire fell in on itself. The Empire's foundation was as listed above. It could not continue as a Christian entity.

Did it die out though? Byzantium persisted until the 1450s and was still appointing consuls every year when Constantinople fell. Charlemagne considered himself a continuation of the western empire. Culture of "Roman Empire builders" certainly died out with mainstream Christian adoption. How much roman are those Christians?
