The ladies section has gotten too quiet, so I thought I'd give this a go. I'm going to add to it over the day and let you all know how things are going.
It's currently 8.15am. The children are all finishing breakfast and I'm sitting in the lounge and drinking my cup of tea. We have a big day planned, Fridays always are as people go out and we prepare for Sabbath.
Matthew (8) is making himself scrambled eggs for breakfast. It's the only way he likes eggs and we get eggs free from Samuel's father, so he needs to eat them. He only likes them because he adds grated cheese to them I'm sure, lol. He's trying to do it on his own this morning, but coming in to ask questions. I'm trying to not hover, but to let him go for it. I mean, he can't really stuff it up, as long as he doesn't burn himself then he's fine.
I am a mother who hovers. But I also try very hard not to hover. And I make things difficult for myself because I hover and because I stress about not hovering. Lol. I think that understanding where we have faults is the first step to overcoming them, right?
Now I'm going to get the kids dressed and ready for the day, and start them on school. Ruth (7) is heading out with Samuel so I need to get her ready to go out, and we need to organise some school work she can do on her own during his meeting.
Oh and Peter is letting me know he's done eating breakfast. That kid will not be lost in the chaos of this house, he has volume ha ha!
