While at the recent retreat, we had the pleasure of meeting a pastor and his ladies whom we had never met. Turns out, he has written and recently published an amazing book that I cannot over recommend. Every man and woman on this forum needs to read: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=exposing...posing+the+,aps,95&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_2_13

It is available on Kindle for those outside of the US.

The author covers material I've only skirted in relation to how and why patriarchy and polygyny expose and destroy ashtoreth and ba'al in christian circles (and the world at large).

You will see precisely why we MUST restore patriarchy and polygyny. And, you'll better understand your calling.

Highly, highly recommended.

Looking forward to getting into my copy!

I watched the Rob Kowalski interview. I found it fascinating how he pointed out that men are created in the image of God, and women are created in the image of the angels.

Interesting, how did he support that belief?

He spoke of how the women are represented by the church, and then he referenced How Jesus spoke to the churches by telling John to write to the angel of the different churches. Then he mentioned a phrase in 1 Cor 11:10, which I have always found to be puzzling: "because of the angels". It makes a lot more sense if you understand that women are created in the image of the angels!

I don’t find that very convincing.

The angels were mesmerized with women's long hair (and apparently women with angels). if you didn't want an angel to take your woman and have some angel babies, she shouldn't show her hair. At least that's the old timey Jewish tradition on the matter.

What spoke to me the most was the jealousy factor in Lucifer’s fall.
It never made sense to me that Lucifer actually thought that he? could logically take over creation from the Creator.

That’s interesting, so does that mean that the angels are a bunch of Nair-heads?

.

It’s a joke, people. 😁

I read this book the other day. I'm not sure about all of the author's ideas, but I really liked the book.

I've long known that polygamy is Biblically lawful, legitimate.

The author helped me see the beauty, and glory, of Jesus Christ in it.

I think that is the point of polygamy (and everything else good in the cosmos). It's all about God, all about Christ!

Polygamy is chiefly lawful because it can gloriously reflect the glory, beauty, and greatness of Chist, in His relationship with His redeemed.

Here are my "not sures".
The author proposes that the angels were "married" to God and that some of them (Lucifer and his minions) became jealous and fell after God created an additional "bride", mankind.

The argument makes a lot of sense, but the Bible doesn't seem to regularly use the terminology of marriage when discussing the relationship of God and the holy angels.

The author also seems to think that believers are not bound (by marriage) to unbelievers, since that relationship cannot properly reflect God and His people, Christ and the redeemed.

The Bible seems to teach otherwise. 1st Peter commands the Christian wife to graciously submit to her husband even if he isn't obeying Christ. She and her submission might be the means of God saving him.

The whole "two shall be one flesh" from Genesis and Matthew 19, doesn't seem to require that both marriage partners be believers for this bond to be formed.

Also, in 1st Corinthians, the apostle Paul basically says that the Christian believer should do his or her part to be a good husband or wife to the unbelieving spouse. We are also told that the believer isn't bound if the unbeliever abandons the marriage.

Those are just a few of my thoughts.
Overall, I liked the book, and found it helpful and encouraging.

Related to the topic of Asherah, I would also recommend the book "Return of the gods", by Jonathan Cahn.
