Thanks both for the invite to the women's retreat. Even though I'm so new that would have been pretty cool and convenient to attend since I live so close. But unfortunately I already have work related plans for that weekend over in New Orleans that I can't cancel.

That's awesome. I am an artist too but more as a hobby. My sister is an artist as a career. She travels for various shows. I am assuming that's what you do?

Ah very cool - what kind of medium do you work in?

No I don't travel for shows - but I do gallery weekend events where my work is displayed sometimes

Another recent one / I usually do this style in more of a red/orange - but I really liked this dark navy

My primary medium is watercolor, but I dabble with other mediums.

Did you study art in college or self taught primarily?

Yes I just finished my degree actually here in December / but my grandmother is also an artist and I've been working alongside her since I was very young
