Hostility and the Holy Spirit

No, my question as it was stated is valid. Please provide an answer one way or the other. Thank you.
If I encounter a unicorn, I'll concede the point.

Meanwhile, it just AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN, for reasons I have explained at length in the aforementioned midrashim. Tzaraat was, I contend, a warning to people who lived in a clean society that they had better clean up their act. It was, in fact, and this you don't see, a BLESSING to those who might make t'shuvah and return to Him.

It doesn't happen in a society that is SO "unclean" - in every way imaginable - that someone shouting "UNCLEAN, UNCLEAN" ("tameh, tameh," actually) would even be NOTICED. Maybe in LA they'd give him a TV show.

But they simply can NOT 'come out of' a "clean camp," or city, because they DO NOT EXIST in this country, or any other I am aware of.

So, I wouldn't send the unicorn to a witch doctor. And the guy with REAL tzaraat would have NO WAY TO EVEN KNOW IT. Because Scripture clearly says that without a genuine kohen - which don't exist, at least here, either - it can't be declared to even BE 'tzaraat'. Too many non-sequitor issues.

You won't see that. So - if YHVH suddenly decided to NOT continue to "hide His face" and do something He hasn't for over a millennium - answer:

I'd advise people to clean up their act - FAST.

And I wouldn't be allowed to say why, here.

Then we have one of your LAWS!!! that you will not abide nor will you honor it in the least.

“The leprous person who has the disease shall wear torn clothes and let the hair of his head hang loose, and he shall cover his upper lip and cry out, ‘Unclean, unclean.’ - Leviticus 13:45

Given your obstinate refusal to entertain any way to enforce this law then this law is totally and utterly VOID.

With it now settled that you won't abide this law then it also follows that there are other laws you won't abide. Nor am I asking you to if those laws no longer serve any constructive purpose.

This was fun, thank you. :)

Say you, and you alone. Based on your twisting of MY reaction, which you don't even respect enough to honestly examine. What does that say about your respect for His Word?

Aren't you the one who pontificated so expansively about 'Logical Fallacies'?
This was fun, thank you. :)
Time to call utter Bull@#it, Megan. You really aren't that stupid, and we all know it.

I've tried to explain, and be patient. You won't listen, you won't even try to understand, and you didn't ask privately for a link to the information that would overcome that ignorance. And you pat yourself on the back for it.

But there is a bigger point here, and it bears directly on "Hostility" - and to Who.

The real point of the thread was related to why some people so hate His Written Word (and we see it ALL THE TIME among the anti-polygyny crowd) that they look for excuses to mock Him.

Reminder, from the top thread post:
Romans 8:7-8
7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.

I corrected your initial fallacy:
Are wrong [sic] in simply treating the disease as an infection and not as evidence of sin as was believed 4,000 years ago?
You didn't even get the 'disease' part right, much less what it was. And you never even thought to ask "Why?" At least not sincerely enough to honestly look at the answer. Which has now been given TWICE.

So, the thread could be expanded thusly:

Why do people who reject His Written Word have so much hostility to what they think they "know better than the AUTHOR did" that they are willing to engage in logical fallacy -- against even their own better nature -- rather than admit He knows more about it than they do?

Can't you - or others reading this - see the connection?

Regardless, would you encounter a man with tzaraat er, two wives, and then expect him to...
think he should be accepted in a Church?
Or would you direct him to get medical assistance?
Or maybe a good Xtian Counselor, and help those wives to get free of that "Unclean, Unclean" husband?

Don't kid yourself, or lie to us - we have ALL SEEN THAT.

Given your obstinate refusal to entertain any way to enforce this law then this law is totally and utterly VOID.
That was fun, thank you.

No, it really wasn't. But it was necessary. This is how people, for millennia, have justified "making the commandments of YHVH of no effect." (Mark chapter 7 - the whole thing.)

I'll just say it again here, Mark, but too many of the OT laws are obsolete.

My point is that it is hypocrisy to denounce others for not following the whole law when no one does. Nor should they.

Do you know what a 'strawman' argument is? Or do you just pretend to be an expert in asinine logical fallacies?

No one - and I mean NO ONE - in this thread, or on BF in my memory (and I've been here longer than you) has EVER tried to:
denounce others for not following the whole law
and I've rejected and explained the fallacy of that idiocy more times than I can count, for more reasons than you seem to know. But, even for the Scripturally-ignorant, in the absence of a Temple, it cannot be done. Period. End of story. QED. So quit with the sophistry.

It's still no excuse for ignorance of His Word. And any man with multiple wives has heard EXACTLY, almost word-for-word, the kind of crap you spewed above. Like, our marriages are "obsolete". "Void." Men can no longer do that, "nor should they." They, too, claim to know His Mind better than those who have studied past the BS.

But you certainly made @OttoM's point, and mine:

Too many people, for too many years, have said, one way or another, 'I don't have to study or obey His Word, because the 'holy spirit' tells me what matters in that Book.' And what can evidently be ignored.

I tend to think, they have a 'spirit' guiding them, but is sure as hell ain't Holy.
