It flies in the face of traditional Christianity, but I believe Jesus was also married to fulfill all righteousness and set the perfect example.
I also believe that Jesus was married to more than one as it was common practice in those days that a woman did not follow a man around or come to him, unless she was married to him. Jesus as per record had at least three women we know of who constantly followed Him around, came to Him, and were as loyal as loyal can be. Their actions, according to the customs of that day absolutely speak of marriage. The parable of the 10 virgins itself speaks of how common that marriage custom was at the time. I find it sad that most of Christianity doesn’t fully understand Christ. There was never at any point anything dirty or impure about marriage as it is God‘s greatest gift and tender mercy to all of us. So why wouldn’t the Son of God be married? I strongly believe He was.
