We will come battle ready with our super tonic.. continued prayers for everyone.
YupUs three adults have been sick for about 1 week now, fighting off some viral thing as well! He is faithful though!
I make a double or triple batch of this weekly. I follow the recipe except I use butter instead of coconut oil.I am so excited familia!!! I am planning on making some gluten friendly desserts, not gluten free entirely. Trying to get a rough idea of how many are looking for gluten friendly options?
Count my woman in! (And, i'll gladly help her clean her plate... )I am so excited familia!!! I am planning on making some gluten friendly desserts, not gluten free entirely. Trying to get a rough idea of how many are looking for gluten friendly options?
another little sumpin' sumpin'? if sumpin' sumpin's are on the table, maybe I'll consider bringing along some more exotic altered-states sumpin' sumpin's . . .I'm planning to bring a couple SC micro distillery products for the nightowls... Bourbon or whiskey... maybe another little sumpin' sumpin'... just sayin'...
OK; no problem; I wasn't going to bring any alcohol, anyway -- and I'm not enough of an old-timer to have been there in 2014, but 2017 was the last time I overindulged on ethanol, and for some reason the combination of that and trying to sleep afterwards as the big cabin spun around like the house at the beginning of The Wizard of Oz has been enough to keep me steered clear of that kind of imbibing. So, guys... just an early reminder that technically alcohol is not allowed at this retreat center. While that hasn't stopped, er, some of you, in the past, we do want to be respectful of them, so lets so say that everything should be in discrete boxes, and left in rooms or the kitchen until a late night time to be determined, and then still retrieved and consumed... discretely. They may drop in on us during the day, and I'd really like to be able to come back here in the future.
I have very fond memories of that evening! A unique blend of amazing spirit-filled worship and refreshments (including blue cheese!), while the evening sunlight was deep green and it looked like the entire sea was being poured on the roof, and everyone's phones were buzzing with tornado warnings. Weather I'd never seen before in my life, having never lived in your part of the world.(Who remembers the killer thunderstorm we 'partied' in on Saturday night at this location in 2014?)
Amen, brother. I'll never forget your wife's breakthrough moment . . .I don't go back far enough for 2014, but I do have fond memories of an undisclosed location in OK when the night owls gathered and an ironing board was the bar. I had one, maybe two drinks but just basked in the fellowship of men and women, warriors all, just talking, laughing, sharing stories, etc... i'm really looking forward to simply relaxing and letting my hair down with friends on the truth trail...
Yes, we need to bring pillows, towels, and linens, beds have a bedspread but that is all.
Can't even begin to justify how I skipped right over that!@Keith Martin, what NIck said.
Wild horses couldn't keep me away, @Proverbs3.5, so I defer my share of your prayer time for the good of someone else! Kristin won't be with me, but I leave here Tuesday and will still have room in my rental car between Fort Worth and TN if anyone wants to join me for the ride.I am checking in to see how everyone is feeling and how I may pray for y'all. So excited, just a few short days away. I have been packing and baking today. We are headed out on Wednesday after work.
