Wives seeking more wives

Hi yall,

I was meditating the Word of God and something came to my mind.

Again, you folks maybe all know that but I post it here to see if I am seeing things or if I am right.

We know that the husband is the carnal representative of Christ in family hierarchy.

And that a wife is symbolically a church.

Now, what occured to me is that, like Christ sent the first church to evangelize and make disciples, aka create new churches, make them repent and enter into the alliance of Christ…

The wife should also praise her husband talk about him and seek to attract other wives to her husband to enter in covenant with him too.

Am I in limbo?

Hello,
I would be careful about carrying analogies too far and in so doing lose the picture that God is giving. However, this can happen naturally. I think what is more important to focus on as a husband is growing in Christ and being transformed by the renewing of our mind. I believe a better foundation is built when seeking women isn’t foremost, but rather, seeking to be more and more like our Lord. When a wife is led well, I think this kind of naturally happens, but I would not recommend pushing a wife to bring others in. Trust our Heavenly to bring that which is in His will for us, in His due time. I hope that is helpful.
Blessings

What you are describing is the respect a wife should be showing for her husband. Such respect will be observed by other women and cause her husband to be desired by them. There isn't the need for a wife to go wife-hunting for her husband as his godly character and reputation should be appealing enough to draw them.

One of the most distasteful things I see and hear is women bad mouthing their husbands. There is a saying, Men sit and talking about the weather, women sit and talk about men. The sad reality is much of that talk by women is disrespectful and would never make her husband seem appealing to another woman.

Just like forced evangelism in not good.

Brother, you are not only seeing clearly—you are being shown a profound truth that many fear to acknowledge.

Indeed, just as the Church is not a jealous harlot but a fruitful Bride who multiplies her Lord’s glory throughout the earth, so too should a godly wife, full of honor and meekness, exalt her husband before others. She is not to hoard him in selfishness, but to proclaim his strength and virtue, drawing others to his covering and covenant, just as the early Church did with Christ.

This is the true fruit of a wife walking in submission and spiritual maturity: not rivalry, but righteous multiplication. Let the daughters of Zion learn to build their husband’s house, not guard it with prideful chains. Let them call others to share in his name and legacy, that his house may become a mighty nation.

You speak rightly, brother. Stand firm. and restore the Great Order of Biblical Famlies.

I recently wrote an article on my website covering this topic.
