Yes, there is a movement to take away women’s right to vote

Smarts are not the same as wisdom or discernment. 😉

I’m not a Republican, nor do I think they are somehow morally superior, but the Dems have been wholly captured by dark forces set on destroying Western Christian society.

I've met a lot of men who lack both wisdom and discernment. We have an entire generation of men who haven't grown up. Ben Sasse wrote a book about it. If you look at the marriage subreddit, at least a third of the posts are women complaining about being married to a man child. Even before that, I think many men from previous generations grew into old fools, but they were better at presenting as adults.

I may be the final decision maker in my marriage, but I would be a fool if I didn't involve my wife in all of our decisions. She's very wise. I wouldn't have married her is she wasn't. I could never marry someone I don't respect.

You may have misunderstood my reply. I wasn’t implying women (universal) lack wisdom or discernment.

The facts and demographics don’t lie. The Dems are increasingly the party of single, childless, secular women. It’s the party that brought you Covid lockdowns, transing of kids, open boarders and the strange alliance of queers for Palestine. That has all the fingerprints of females acting without wisdom or discernment.

Married women, with children and a stake in the future of this country for their offspring vote differently. It’s their discernment.

Hardly... There is only a 9% difference between democrat men and women, and only a 12% difference between married people who vote in favor of the republicans versus democrats, and married women are almost even, 50% vote republican and 45% vote democratic. There's about an average of 10% difference in democrats having less children verses republicans. Y'all are making all of this into a far bigger deal than it actually is.

I’m not. I’ll look for the stats I saw regarding the historical trends. It’s not just party identification, it’s voter habits. Identification and voting aren’t synonymous.

On top of that, religious identification and practice is also a huge difference.

If I misremembered or can’t find the stats, I’ll revise my statement.

When one percent of the current voting population is 1.54 million people than the percentages and numbers you quoted are millions of people. This is not some miniscule number to be concerned about.

I’ll stand by my statement about Democrats attracting single women and the childless, as well as other groups, especially the sodomites.

Since never married, college educated women are increasing in number, the trends show that the Dems will likely be gearing their political policies more and more towards that demographic.

And like @HomesteadWife stated, 9 and 12% differences in an overall group that numbers in the millions is definitely a very significant statistical gap.

Right, so by y'alls math, that would represent around 8 million people? Which would also mean that around 50 million democrats have children, about 35 million are married, and between 30 and 35 million are actually men. I guess we're just supposed to just continue pretending the 8 million means something significant, while at the same time disregarding the tens of millions of who don't fit the stereotype of "childless, unmarried," "women," who "lack wisdom and discernment." Maybe it's just not as angsty and fun to say out loud the other way?

Yep, that 8 million (not sure if it’s even correct, but let’s say it is) represents a greater population than 38 states contain. That’s statistically significant.

Nobody said the Dems represent ONLY childless women. But the trends are working themselves in that direction across the country.

People with no offspring tend to not consider the conditions of the future as much as those who do. Yes, it’s broad generalizations, but they exist.

So 8 million people is enough to define a "trend," but the other 75 million or whatever it is, who don't represent that trend aren't considered a trend themselves?

I'm curious where you get the idea that people who don't have children don't care as much about the future as those who do? I remember reading studies that showed that childless people actually cared and considered the future more, which is why they chose to remain childless for the time being. They were more conscious of the future in general and that's why they chose to plan and invest in it prior to having children. The mass majority of women will have children in their lifetimes, so you're still only talking about a minority.

The trend is that less women are having or are planning on having children. They vote in a statistically significant higher rate for the Left. The birth rate in this country is below replacement and isn’t getting higher.

Yes, they deem having children as detrimental to the environment and food supplies. It’s the future of the planet they prioritize.

Again, all generalizations. There will be exceptions but stats are stats.

Apparently not...
There are always anecdotal exceptions to every stat. It’s just the nature of numbers. Not every young boy raised by a single mother will be a delinquent, but statistics say it’s much higher than if he were raised by two parents.

Not every single, childless woman is a lefty, but statistically speaking, it’s likely she is.

My main point I was making is when a percentage deals in millions any percentage of it is not miniscule.

Almost 70% of single women vote democrat and there is an estimate of 45% of working age women will be single by 2030 with 28% of women heading their own households. Around 75% of Democratic liberal women under 35 were childless in 2024. These are not small numbers from this specific demographic to be concerned about. Single, childless women are considered to be a highly reliable and growing voting block for the democratic party.

Are there men who vote democratic, absolutely. There are variables I'd like more data on that voting demographic which don't seem easy to identify, including lgbt affiliation.

This thread is mainly focused on women voters and their voting demographics. Men are a separate topic. Are their democratic married women who do have kids, yes, and they are more likely to vote in line with their husband if democrat. Democrats tend to have less children and smaller families than republicans statistically. Childless is a different demographic then single, but both are growing and often in tandem.

Women as a voting block lean more democratic. If 12.5% of married women admit to voting opposite their spouse, I believe without the pressure of being married and spousal alignment there would be a much higher percentage of women who would choose to vote democratic. As a whole if over half of the voting block votes over half democratic then that is a major deciding factor in our government.

The democratic party openly prioritizes catering to women.

The vast majority of democrats are not only women, men make up a large portion of the democratic party as well. The majority of democratic women either already have children or will likely have children at some point in their lives, just as most women in general will. Most Americans will marry at some point in their lives, and the research shows that the majority of married couples already vote in alignment with one another. It also shows that at least half of democrats claim to align with some form of Christianity. The only significant differences are with gay communities, and even then that accounts for only like 5% of the democratic party.

Y'all are making blanket statements that mostly describe the minority of a political party and acting as though it describes the majority.

In the last part of my post I was talking about women as a voting block, regardless of marital status. If 54% of women voted democrat in 2024 that is over half of women. Which in turn is just over a quarter of the entire voting population.

Well, let’s wait 5 years and see what the trends reveal. I don’t think it’s just a few of us posters on this site. I’ve heard political scientists of various stripes talk about the influence of women on the left and its effect on policy priorities.
